Home Alone Puppy

Hi everyone,
Sorry no post yesterday they left me 'home alone puppy' and went off to see the tennis at Wimbledon.
The cheek they could have played tennis balls in the garden with me! So I got my own back, I ate the seat pads off the chairs in the kitchen, well only 2 of them!
At least they went out and I didn't have to suffer that awful puppy clicker. BUT I know where they keep it. Just got to work out how to get it. It's in the fruit bowl, which is right in the middle of the kitchen table. Now this table is quite big, I know because I often try to steal food off of it, but I can't work out yet how to get my tongue all the way to the middle.
I'll wait, one day soon they will lay it down somewhere and I will grab it.
So yesterday, they took both of us out for our walk and then left us, I started on the chairs as soon as they had gone down the drive.
About 5 minutes later we had a visitor, a puppy sitter came to look after us, how boring! Well she arrived too late!
Then for the rest of her stay she just watched me like a hawk. If I went outside she followed, I couldn't get rid of her.
For once I was pleased to see my family back.
Today has been a very hard day, the rain is 'paw-ing' down again. Our walk was a puppy swimming lesson, I used to like splashing about in puddles but just lately we have to wade through the paths.
Then we get home and the garden is awash with water, I think we live in a castle because we have a moat around us now.
So I've stayed indoors this afternoon and driven everyone mad. I need to play and run, I have energy to get rid of. I tear up and down the hall, they shout at me. My favorite game is to roll a ball under the TV, they have to bend down and fetch it, so I do it again. See they will play with me!
Well I'm giving up on the weather I'm going to join the Big Black Dog and have a snooze......
always remember puppies rule........

Puppy Clicker

Clicker - Click - Click - Click - Click - Click
I'm going out of my tiny mind, all I can hear day and night is click, click, click!!
Please help save this puppy from going insane.
Hi everybody, Yes They took me to puppy training school, no I mean clicker school.
It was dreadful they believe in the power of the clicker, what am I going to do?
We arrived and our class was being held in a field, I thought fantastic won't be so bad after all. How wrong could I be.
My new teacher said that all puppies can be controlled and taught by using this clicker. Click and treat. Well I liked the treat part, but the thought of this noise around me all the time is terrible.
Mind you I heard one part, they said: ignore the bad, praise the good.
Works for me.
So I came home and started eating the garden bench, Crash, Bang. I jumped a mile or two, nearly high enough to jump the fence and get that cat next door. It was my family throwing an empty coke can full of pennies into the garden. Seems the way to distract me from wrong-doing is to make a sudden noise and I will stop. Give me a heart attack you mean!
I can't take this, but I've already worked out that to catch me at something they will have to watch me every minute of every day.
See how long that lasts!
Then they want to call me indoors and they use this stupid clicker, I know my name.
All evening it was Click This and Click That. I'm leaving home!
I know one thing I have been a very well behaved puppy today because they are wearing me out and I've slept a lot. Except I can hear clicks in my sleep.
Went on our puppy walk and they took the clicker, met my friends and how embarrassing they click, click me. I was only trying to play.
I'm keeping my eyes peeled for this clicker, as soon as I can find it, I'm going to bury it as deep as I can.
Think I feel like another snooze, I'll see you tomorrow...............

PreSchool Puppy

Yes I am a preschool puppy, watch out I might look different tomorrow!
Just a short post because I am having an extra walk this afternoon, I think they want to try and tire me out so I behave at school later. No chance.
I'm going to school as me and no teacher is going to change me, those other puppies in the class won't know what's about to hit them. Actually I can't wait to go now. See what all this fuss is about.
I've had a good morning, got up found a buffet had been laid out for me. Well I stole a sausage and a piece of bacon! I couldn't believe they forgot I was around, my nose doesn't miss a thing. With all the shouting going on I think it was possible someone didn't have time to make any more and had to go to work with no breakfast, oops.
Then after our morning puppy walk I found a new 'toy'. I've eaten the shed! Well not quite all of it yet, but I found this piece of wood, I pulled and tore at it and yes it started to pull away. There was this hole, I saw a bicycle. Then problem I got caught, the family were very cross, out came hammer and nails. Thing is once I know how to make a hole somewhere I can usually go back later and have another go.
So I had better go and start getting ready for puppy school, I won't have to wear a uniform will I? There had better not be any homework either. Hey do you think they have my brown-bag ready?
I'll tell you all about my lesson tomorrow

'Grand' Puppy!

Hey don't you think I look grand, I can't be a puppy much longer.
The Big Black Dog says I'm only sitting upright and still because I've been nailed there, how rude!
Today is a quiet day for me, I'm bored. The family are not happy with me, apart from yesterday's bath disaster I kept them up last night. Not a nice subject but I'm still teething and I eat everything, well in the middle of the night I woke my family several times. I kept trying to throw up, eventually I got rid of this huge piece of green plastic. Came from a green tortoise!
So this morning they are not happy with me and the lack of sleep.
We went on a puppy walk and would you believe they took me across the fields, no puddles, they kept me clean. What's the fun in that!
Then we sat in the car while they did some shopping, when I was a little puppy I used to jump the seats and have been known to dive into the shopping bags. Guess what they bought a dog guard and now I can't cross over into the back seat. I tell you my life is getting very boring.
Our next door neighbour doesn't like it when I peep though the holes in the fence and bark at that stupid cat of hers, do you know what she did, covered the holes! I ask you, people everywhere are ganging up on me.
They actually gave me a treat earlier on and said how good I have been today, well I'll tell you I'm bored. Bored. Bored. Big Puppy Bored. Going out of my tiny mind!
This week they seem to think they can be one step ahead of me, I look for my usual playthings, like the TV remote and phones etc. But I can't find them.
And guess what today's Tuesday, tomorrow I start school. I'm going to cry in a minute, my life is falling apart. I feel miserable.
Hang on a minute, the sun is coming out, there's a bird on our bird table it's my job I have to chase them away....Wait that stupid cat is coming across the grass I will have to go, birds in my garden is my job, not his...gotta go..................

Puppy at rest

I need a new ring this one has a hole in it, or rather it doesn't!

Hi everybody, Good job this photo was taken before we went out because everything went wrong after our puppy walk this morning.

I had a wonderful walk, in our little town today it is pouring with rain, there is so much mud it is fantastic. The family said it is raining too much to take pictures of the Big Black Dog and I enjoying the pools. Shame you can't see just how deep they are.

I met up with one of my puppy friends, now when I play with others I do tend to roll on my back (see my picture from yesterday!) so somehow I managed to get mud and dirt and rain and tree bark and bunny doodles and maybe a little bit of foxy doodles as well, (I don't think I know what deer doodles look like), all into my coat! I smelt really good.

Well I was just a little bit dirtier than usual and when we arrived home, I wasn't even allowed in!

They set up the 'bath' area in the garden again, I hate baths.

It took two of them to try and get me clean, one had to hold me, the other handled the water hose. Ha ha, one of them got quite wet. Serves them right.
But then things took a turn for the worse, they stood at the door with my big bath towel. Now I don't like being rubbed down, it's worse than the bathing. As they went to wrap me up I took a dive between their legs and somehow I managed to break free. I ran into the house, they chased, although they were screaming at me I think really they were having fun.
I was still soaking wet and leaving little puppy drippy puddles everywhere. I think it's amazing that a puppy can out run stupid humans.
I ran through the hall, round the kitchen, back down the hall again and into the family room they tried to catch me, then suddenly to avoid them I jumped up onto the couch. The more they said 'down' the more I stayed put, I even rolled onto my back, that usually makes them laugh. Not today.
I was having such fun I didn't even see the hand grab my collar and pull me down. Oh no I think I wet the couch, the rug, everything.
I don't think they are ever going to love me again....It seemed a bit late but I had to stand there and let them dry me, I lowered my head in my apologetic way.
I am still a puppy!
If I still have a home and family I'll see you tomorrow, I'd better take a puppy nap and keep quiet for a while.

The ball's in the puppies court

If that Big Black Dog thinks she is going to get the ball then I will swallow it!
Hi, super puppy here. I have to say that because today no-one else will.
This morning after our puppy walk (and they said I was good out today!) we went off to Grandma's House and I don't think I will ever be invited there again.
Now as I have said before I like Grandma, she spoils me so I didn't set out to upset her at all. She still calls me her little puppy, I'm not little any more!
Anyway everybody was in the garden and I was taking a look around the house, now Grandma is old and I mean really old, you know the wrinkle kind, she must be at least 50 odd!!
But in her house she does not have paint on the walls in her rooms, she has what they call wallpaper (so I heard them say later).
Well I'm sniffing along that funny piece of wood border that goes all around the bottom of the floor and there was this little piece of paper sticking out from the wall. Of course my puppy nose was interested, I licked it, the piece became a little softer. Oops, so I used my teeth, the next thing I knew was this paper started to come away from the wall and I had hold of a strip that was as long as a man. I looked at the wall, well there was a big hole but I thought no, no-one will notice that.
How wrong could I be?
Grandma was not amused, I'm getting fed up with all this finger pointing they keep doing at me lately.
However, when they had a cup of tea, Grandma still gave me a oreo, my favorite! I put my head in her lap to say sorry and I think she forgave me.
In the car home though the family went mad, kept shouting at me and something about they have to go back next week, I thought hurrah yes. Then they said I can't go they have to redecorate or what ever that means.
When we got home I thought it best to stay in my safe haven in the garden, I could just see that cat next door through a tiny gap in the fence, so I barked constantly at him to annoy him until the lady next door shouted at me to keep quiet. Oh well annoy everybody its my way.
Time for a puppy nap I think............

Half Puppy/Half Fish!

Me again, all nice and muddy.
We have had so much rain lately even I am beginning to think I'm a fish!
On our puppy walk this morning I just couldn't resist these pools, wonderful for cooling the blood. I always wonder though why after my lovely swim do we have to continue our walk through all that long wet grass?
Only problem with being a muddy puppy is the clean up afterwards, I hate those towels! They always rub far too hard I'm sure they think they can get even with me for something.
And I know what it is, I broke a CD (What's a CD?) player this morning. I found this black wire hanging down and I pulled it. I had to run like mad to avoid being killed when this big box thing almost fell on my head. It crashed to the floor with such a bang, all the family came running and I ended up running outside for safety.
There was quite a bit of shouting and finger waving at me.
I just can't help myself if I see anything loose, hanging around, lying around, hidden away.
I found where they keep the TV guide, it's behind the pillows on the couch. What an easy hiding place to find. Soon as they go out of the room, I jump up move the pillows and there it is, I usually take it to the garden for reading and digesting.
Somethings they win at, the cookie jar has been moved to a higher shelf, haven't worked that one out yet.
I'm eating my way through the garden bench seat at the moment, they keep shouting and pointing at that too, but they do not know how to stop me on that one, so my puppy teething chewing post is available 24/7.
I ate a box of mints last night, yucky, I didn't like them and afterwards they didn't like me either. In a way it's so easy being a puppy, you can eat almost anything and if its not right for us, up it comes again. Simple really, means I can try anything. Not going to eat those potato skins again though, learnt that lesson! Oh yes & peppers, no way!!
But anything new, bring it on.
Well think it's time I woke the Big Black Dog for a game of I'm going to bite your ear again.
I'll see you tomorrow folks.......

Bigger Puppy!

Hi,
Just look at me, don't you think I'm growing into a really huge puppy now?
Why do people still call me a puppy?
Do you think I look older than 5 months?
But why is it the older I get the more they tell me off?
And why do I keep asking questions?
Is it because I don't know the answers?
My family just told me to stop being stupid and said why am I wasting every body's time?
This morning on our puppy walk we were joined again by that awful dog training man, I really don't like him! I have this problem you see. When all of us are together everything is fine, if they call me, 'most of' the time I will come back. But I am a very friendly puppy and when I meet people I have this urge to greet them. Can I help it if I never hear them call me? (Another question!)
I will also run ahead to find other dog walkers and my trade mark is to jump all over them with my muddy puppy paws. Oops, people are not too pleased with that. So I had to suffer this stupid man again, he keeps me on the lead and expects me to walk by his side all the time. Impossible. So I had an awful walk but they did say we could go to the park tonight, I hope so I need to run.
When we got home I found we had an intruder in the garden, that cat from next door had climbed into my tree. Wish I could climb the tree! So I had to sit there until he moved. Well I don't know how he did it, I was puppy tired after my walk and I only closed my eyes for 2 seconds, when I looked again he was gone! Next time....
Anyway I'm staying in the garden today I've been in every body's bad books, I got hold of that teddy bear again and ate his ribbon. I chewed up this week's TV guide. And to top it off I buried some clean washing in the garden, I don't think I'm very popular at the moment.
But I'll survive, stay low, come out fighting tomorrow....see you then...

A Puppies Summer

Hi everyone, isn't the summer wonderful, but all our fields are just too high for this puppy! Help!
Had a lovely puppy walk this morning but spoilt things when we got home, the family have discovered that I am now able to see out of our garden.
I climb up onto a garden bench seat, cross over to an old dumpster left in the corner, from there I can put my paws on the top of our fence and look over. Only problem is the view has nothing to look at, just waste land. But for this puppy I can dream of being free. Except this morning they caught me, I got told off, now they have moved things around, I'll just have to work it out another way.
At lunch time when the family finish eating, the big black dog and I always get a little something, today it was a crust from their ham sandwich. I am supposed to know my place. BBD (Big Black Dog) goes first then little puppy me, but this morning the tiny morsel of ham they offered just smelt too good to wait so I was very naughty. I snatched BBD's piece and mine in one go. Oh Boy did I get told off for that. Then they go off to the kitchen to find an extra piece of lovely ham just for BBD, honestly they spoil that dog!
I got my own back later in the afternoon, I think it was the little rabbit doodles that I shouldn't have touched when we were out, because after lunch I bought them all up all over BBD's blanket! Oops. In trouble again, then they go and find her a new one, typical, mine is old and puppy smelly!
They keep shouting at me at the moment they keep saying they have to watch me every minute of every day and they do, it's no fun.
Yesterday when they went upstairs I took a teddy bear off the window ledge in the hall and took him out to the garden, just for fresh air you understand. He got a little wet from some licking, but even he's now getting better treatment than I am.
Well I think it's time to investigate the garden, but first I want to say Hi to my friend Deuce. I have been reading your pages, love the photos. But it would appear I can't leave any comments for you, have to ask my family about loggin in? If you love your water hoses then you really would love my mud pools!
I'll see you all tomorrow, never forget puppies rule.

A Puppies Hello!

Me again, I'm sure any day now this farmer will cut his grass, it's making this puppy sneeze a lot.
Short post today but I wanted to tell you what happened this morning because I got told off big time again.
I've eaten the car!
We went for our puppy walk, first of all I must tell you how big I am now, I can jump into the car by myself. Makes me feel big and surprises that Big Black Dog, she always sits there so grand, well now I can jump in just like her.
Anyway we were driving along the road, I was having fun in the back, suddenly I caught the eye of the driver in that terrible invention of a backwards mirror, the one designed so they can see what I am up to. I'm sitting there with a piece of the car in my mouth. Brakes go on, I thought they had stopped for something important but it was just to stop me. They found out I have been chewing my way through the panels at the back, well they are covered in carpet with foam underneath. They were not amused.
After our walk, I was put under supervision for the drive home. They keep muttering about who would buy the car now? I don't want anybody to buy the car, we need it to go puppy walkies.
And when we got home they said I didn't deserve a bone biscuit, they did give me one, but they had that look on the faces.
I hate being in trouble......
If I survive I'll see you tomorrow......

Muddy Puppy Again!

Oops I did it again!
They keep telling me I'm still a little puppy, so can I help it if I like to puddle in the mud? The only problem is they wash me off when I get home, Yuk!
But today I was in a lot of trouble, real trouble, not just puppy trouble either, they said it was dangerous what I did and I could have been killed. Problem is I haven't got a clue what they mean?
If you are of a nervous type perhaps you had better not read this post, it's nasty!
Well it all started when we went out for my morning puppy walk, we have two favorite places, one in the forest where I can jump straight out of the car and run like mad (I like that place best).
Our other walk I have to go on the puppy lead while we cross a road to a field. Now I don't like the lead and I admit I play up, so they now put me on this awful extending lead while I'm still in the car, then they try to open the back and grab my collar. But this morning I was naughty I saw the back of the car open slightly and I slipped to freedom through this tiny gap. I thought I was such a clever puppy, but they grabbed my lead, only it was the extending part and the thin rope caught their hand and caused burning blisters on their fingers. I think it hurt them. I never meant to hurt them. Then they started screaming at me for being so naughty, they said if there had been a car in the car park I could have been killed. But the car park is always empty, not a popular place because you have to cross a road.
We still went on the walk, then I was being nagged because they say that I do not walk, I just lunge and lunge on this puppy lead. Well take it off then! I hear them say that school will make me walk on a lead, huh!
We came home and my injured family had to bandage two fingers, I felt bad,, I went outside to the garden, problem was to console myself I started chewing our garden bench. Oh dear they saw it.
What can you do when you are puppy teething, you have to chew anything, anyplace, all the time.
I'm sorry for this depressing post, I needed to warn other people to be careful with those awful extending leads. We puppies do not like them, we run ahead and you constantly yank us in the throat, so it would be better if everybody threw them away and just let us run free.
Please do not hurt your fingers.
I think they have forgiven me, they are coming with a tennis ball in their hands, they want to play, I must go, must play, must catch, must run..........

Spot the Puppy!

Hi everybody, talk about where's Waldo?
I'm beginning to think my family is just trying to lose me. If you can spot the black tail I'm just in front!!
But this puppy is getting fed up, why doesn't anybody cut the grass around here? I can't grow quick enough.
After my time away from home I've returned to a great house, they seem to have totally forgotten just how much I can reach, nothing stops me now. Today they put their breakfast on the coffee table, easy pickings. Left the remote boxes out and the TV guide, ha ha. They got a little upset because I take everything outside and it got a little dirty, oops!!
However I was away and missed the first day of puppy training school. Hurrah I thought, I've escaped that torture but no they tell me we are going to start at another place on June 27, soon sort that teacher out!
Had a great puppy walk today, well apart from that field, I almost caught a rabbit, it was so close I could lick it! One day, I have a dream, one day!
I burnt my puppy nose today, I tried to sniff inside the oven when the family was baking, oh it smelt so good, they opened the door and of course I had to look in there, but my nose touched the shelf, my that was hot. I'll try again tomorrow see if I can lick without touching anything oven/hot, if there's a way I'll find it.
Since my return I notice I have a lot of jobs to do, the garden has grown needs my digging skills and that Cat from next door has been in all my puppy places, I can smell it. Wish I could put him in that oven!
Well I'm glad to be back home but I'm feeling tired right now, if you don't mind I think I'll take a quick little puppy nap....See you soon....Zzzzzzzzzzz

Tuesday 12 June 2007

Puppies Return

I'M BACK EVERYBODY!!
Seriously though I am sorry that I was away for so long, I missed you all.
This is just a quick note to apologise (the family made me say that!) they said I had to tell you we had a family emergency but everything is okay now.
All I remember is being bungled into the car like a kidnap victim, being dumped off at Grandma's house, well actually I quite like Grandma & Grandpa, he takes me for walks. Then today I think they paid the ransom because they bought me home, Yippee. So if you will excuse me I have a lot of work to do in the house, checking everything is as I left it.
I want to say Hi to Deuce for your nice note, I will be in touch.
Hopefully I will post tomorrow, if we are not back to normal by then you will hear me howling, but could be next day. See you then. Never forget...Puppies Rule..........

Puppy Training

What a day, today on our puppy walk I was joined by a puppy trainer, huh what did he know?
I think as you can see I look quite well behaved here!
He gave me lead work, didn't like that. A puppies walk is for running and having fun, not going to school. When I was allowed off he kept calling me back, stupid! If my nose has picked up something really good, why should I have to run back to his side? And do you know what else, he wants me to stop jumping up at people!
I think he's trying too hard to change me.
I am a puppy and puppies rule. We were born to create havoc!
But I won in the end, we got home and he had a cup of coffee. I stole a biscuit from the plate before he choose one. Ha Ha.
Well I will have to finish off for today because we are going out to visit grandma. She always spoils me, lets me have cream biscuits.

Friday 1 June 2007

Puppy, Don't eat the Daisies!

Well it has been quite a day, some naughty news, some dangerous news.
Before our morning puppy walk we had a visitor at home and for once I was allowed to say hello. Had lots of warnings about jumping up, but I can't help it, I want to be bigger. The lady didn't mind, she said so and I believed her!!
However, the family had coffee in the kitchen and I in my way just ran about puppy style, the lady said I was a very cute puppy. Alright so I like an audience, I rolled on my back, took her my toys, one of my favorite toys is an empty plastic milk bottle, nice and noisy. I also chew up cereal packets.
Now under the table next to her feet I found her basket, sniffed around, interesting but then the family caught me and I was warned to stay out. I was wandering down the hallway when I heard the lady scream, I rushed back. Oops looks like she put her hand into her basket and found my chewed up piece of cardboard, I wondered where I had left that. They all look at me accusingly, as if I could do that on purpose, I'm only a puppy, not Einstein!
So later we left for our walk, it was such a nice warm sunny day. But I wasn't the only creature that wanted to feel the warmth of the sun on our backs.
I discovered today that the world is not a very nice place to be, the big black dog was looking at something. The family went to see what she had found. A snake. Now I had never even heard about snakes before, let alone seen one and what kind does the big black dog have to find: an ADDER. This didn't mean anything to me until I sit in the car and listen to my family. So now I do not like snakes. Do we have to go for a walk tomorrow? I'm going to be scared! Help.
We got home but every stick I saw in the garden looked like a snake.
I decided to have my puppy biscuits in the kitchen, do snakes come indoors? I'm supposed to protect my house and family, forget that!
Oh well, I had a nice puppy snooze, went outside and tipped over the water bowl, my feet needed cooling down.
Time I think to start searching for a new place to dig my new secret 'hidey' hole. I found a good place below the apple tree, no-one will look there. It got a little tough I found some roots to the tree but the hole is getting bigger, I will just have to work on it.
Oh got to go that cat from next door is looking over at me from the roof of our shed, see him off........
